The institution has been pivotal in the integration and testing of Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) systems within its aircraft fleet. Both the Daytona Beach and Prescott campuses have equipped their flight-training fleets with this cutting-edge technology.

Through ADS-B, pilots and air traffic controllers gain access to comprehensive, radar-like displays that provide accurate traffic data from surrounding aircraft, with information updated in real-time. This system not only enhances situational awareness for pilots but also improves overall flight safety. Furthermore, it offers critical access to weather services, terrain information, and various flight data, which aids in informed decision-making during preflight planning and dispatch operations.
